Let Me Just Say . . . It Involves a Lot of Jumping

I just put this photo up because I love Jane Fonda.  I actually own this book.

I’ve started a new exercise program.  Mind you, as a work from home mom with a three year old kiddo underfoot, my workout routines have long-since switched gears from visiting the gym and running outdoors to buying workout equipment and videos for the home.

You may have heard me mention my elliptical machine before.  I simply love her.  She takes up little to no room and keeps me happy and fit.

But she isn't enough.

Jane Fonda aside, you must try out Beachbody Insanity: A 60 Day Total Body Conditioning Program.  Notice on the website where it states that “personal trainer Shaun T will push you past your limits.”  No kidding.

To clarify, let me just quote his favorite thing to say:  It's going to get super super insane and I'm smiling because I LOVE IT.

Despite having worked out almost every day over the past three years, this program will be the death of me.  You get halfway through the forty-minute Plyometric Cardio Circuit only to be greeted by the stunning information that you have just entered SUICIDE DRILL.  The music intensifies throughout the rest of the video, the last few moments accompanied by a dramatic theme song reminiscent of that part in Chariots of Fire where Eric Liddell is racing down the beach.  At this point even the trainer's incredibly fit team are gasping for breath.

Last week I tried out the first workout video in the series, and I couldn't finish it.  Plus I had trouble walking the next day.  I've done it two or three times since and have massive knots in my legs.

So I am determined to get the thing down pat and finish the series.

. . . As soon as I can move, that is.

  1. Hello. I love running outside and do so whenever I can. Working out inside usually does not appeal, unless it is really, really, cold outside as it is today. Hugs Karen

  5. Ew! Difficulty walking, knots, and SUICIDE DRILLS do not sound fun. They do sound effective, however.

Once I muster the courage, I will have to check out that super super insanity for myself!

I appreciate you finding the time and effort to put this content together.

I once again find myself personally spending way too much time both reading and leaving comments.
