about becoming

Things to do this weekend :

Sit in the sun (would you believe it, we have a little sun today) || Hang out with the boys || Finish up a custom order || Begin making some new art messes - so many ideas! || Plan out April Adventures ... A little overnighter somewhere? Visit to the CPH zoo and Tivoli, for Isaac? Canal tour in downtown CPH. Sign up for spring marathon! || At some point, go to the library or bookmobile and return 500 heavy books. ||

On my book wish-list :

Cat's Eye || Margaret Atwood  (because of the May CPH International book club meetup)
Delicate Edible Birds || Lauren Groff  (because I love short stories)
Speaking from Among the Bones || Alan Bradley  (because I love Flavia)
Jayber Crow || Wendell Berry  (because of the quote below)
It might seem to you that living in the woods on a riverbank would remove you from the modern world. But not if the river is navigable, as ours is. On pretty weekends in the summer, this riverbank is the very verge of the modern world. It is a seat in the front row, you might say. On those weekends, the river is disquieted from morning to night by people resting from their work.  - Wendell Berry

Blog posts I like :
5 Myths About Marriage: Debunked || by Lauren Nicole
How to Make a Floral Crown: Part 1 || Part 2 || by The House that Lars Built
The Julie Pointer Home
|| I absolutely love everything about this interior decor.

Can't stop listening to : Parov Stelar || Booty Swing.  Try it, see if you can stop.

A little house (on wheels) I would like to own someday :
Proto Haus. 125 sq. ft. transportable timber-frame home built on a trailer bed. Water systems included; solar and wind powered.

A few other photos that caught my eye this morning || daydreaming :

There is a season for wildness and a season for settledness, and this is neither. This season is about becoming.  ||  Shauna Niequist

  3. Oh my... I Looooove the Booty Swing! Jacob is really into dancing right now and I can't wait to play this for him when he gets home from school. Thank you for sharing it! Love the little house, too, and that quote about becoming. Great post, Miss Daisy! I feel all inspired and stuff. ;)

    1. Awwww shucks. ;) I know, we've been playing Booty Swing while trying to figure out how in the heck to do the shuffle. It's such a fun dance.
